----------------------------------------------------------------
Preparation Time: 5-7 mins+ 2-4 hrs soaking time
Cooking Time: <2 mins per dosa
Serves: 13 no's
----------------------------------------------------------------
INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]
----------------------------------------------------------------
Foxtail Millet - 1/2 cup(soaked for 2-4 hrs in water)
Grated coconut - 3 to 4 tbsp
Salt - as req.
Water - as req.
Oil(optional) - for greasing
METHOD:
-------------------
1. Grind the foxtail millet in a blender for a few seconds with little water.
2. Add coconut, and grind again till both the millet and coconut are very well ground and becomes smooth. Pour this to a bowl.
3. Pulse the blender for a few seconds with some water, and add it to the bowl. Add more water as required till you get a very watery like consistency of batter.
4. Add salt, and mix very well.
5. Now heat an iron tawa, grease it with oil and spread a ladle of batter throughout the surface of tawa in simmer very carefully, since the watery batter can splutter while spreading.
6. Cook the dosa on both sides in low to medium flame. Remove and transfer to a plate. DONE!!
Your no-fermented supersoft foxtail millet neer dosa is ready to be served!!Hav it with chutney, sambar, or any gravy of ur choice!!
-------------
1. You cannot spread the batter in tawa like the normal dosa batter since it is very watery. We should spread it like rava dosa. So don't worry about the shape. If you still want round shapes, place a ring stand on the iron tawa, and then pour the batter inside.
2. You can also prepare in nonstick tawa without oil.
