RECIPE:
-------------------------------------------
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 12 mins
Serves: 7 no's
-------------------------------------------
INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]
-------------------------------------------
Wheat bread slices - 7
Sweetened Condensed Milk - 3 tbsp or as req.
Grated coconut- 1 cup
Cardamom crushed - 3
Ghee - for greasing
Butter(optional) - for coating
METHOD:
--------------------
1. In a nonstick pan, saute coconut for a minute. Add the condensed milk and stir carefully for a few seconds until the moisture is evaporated, without burning the mixture.
2. Switch off the stove, add the crushed cardamom and mix well. Let the mix aside. Now trim the sides of the bread slices.
3. Take a bread slice, dip in some water and immediately press well with both of your palms. Make a small ball from the mixture and place it inside the bread.
4. Now
here comes the tricky area. Carefully fold all the corners of the bread
to form a ball shape, and make sure the mixture doesn't come out. Keep the sealed ball in a plate. Repeat this for all balls.
5. Steam cook the balls in a idli container for 10 mins. Carefully transfer to a plate and apply butter evenly throughout the balls. Applying butter is optional and you can have it as it is.
Your delicious bread kozhukkattai is ready to be served!! Njoy!! Ur Kids will jus lov it!!
NOTE:
