Apricot Nectar


Looking for some cool recipes to quench ur thirst in summer? This Rcp is one among those..The tangy and sweet taste when combined gives an instant freshness and energy..

Dried apricots is not a common thing in my home. Once in a while we buy it. Usually we eat it as it is. Coincidentally when I was visiting MasterChef Sanjeev Kapoor's website, I found this easy drink. So I thought to try it n it came out so good.  Here orange juice too is used to blend the apricots cooked in honey. No sugar is used, n so completely guilt-free. 


RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 5-7 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Serves: 1-2 persons

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]  
------------------------------------------
Dried apricot - 4
Orange - 2
Honey - 1.5 tbsp or as req.
Lemon - 1
Water - as req.


METHOD:
-------------------
1. Cook dried apricots in 1/2 cup water in simmer for 8-10 mins. Add honey and again cook for 5 mins. Remove from the stove and set aside.


2. In a juicer, prepare strained orange juice with the oranges and required water. If you are using blender, blend oranges and then strain. 


3. Now blend the cooked apricot honey mix, lemon juice, and orange juice very well till the apricots are well mashed.


4. Strain and refrigerate for some time, or add ice cubes while serving, or serve as it is. That's it!!

Your cool n yummy Apricot Nectar is ready to be served!!Njjoy!!
