Strawberry Sorbet


Sorbets r a very gud alternative for Icecreams when u want to eat something chilled, but with very less calories.. To make it even more healthier, I hav used honey instead of sugar, n so definitely people of any age can eat this nocook tasty treat without any guilt..Soo colourful when u make it with strawberries!!


RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 5 mins
Total Freezing Time: Min 12 to max 18 hrs
Serves: 2-3 persons

INGREDIENTS:  
---------------------------------------------------------
Strawberries - 25 
Honey - 3 to 4 tbsp
Lemon - 1/2



METHOD:
--------------------
1. Chop strawberries into small pieces. You will get 1 1/4 cup. Purée this in a blender into a fine paste without water. You will get 3/4 cup. Transfer it into a bowl.



2. Add honey, squeezed lemon juice and whisk very well. Transfer it into a freezer container and freeze for 1-3 hrs.



3. Take out the container. The mixture will be a little freezed at the bottom after this stage. Beat very well with a fork, and again freeze. Repeat this step for every 30-45 mins for 4-5 more times.



4. Finally freeze for 6-12 hrs, till the mix is completely freezed. DONE!! Scoop and serve!!



Your yummy n cool strawberry sorbet is ready to be served!!

NOTE:
---------------
1. The no.of hours to freeze in the steps 2 and 3 purely depends on your refrigerator temperature settings. Anyhow you will get it done within the min and max no. of hours mentioned.
2. You can even use a blender at step 3, to get more smoother texture. But using a fork is good enough to give a perfect sorbet, and you need not spend more time in cleaning.
3. If you want to use sugar instead of honey, just cook 1/2 or more cup sugar in equal qty. of water until dissolved, cool and then blend it with strawberries in step1 and follow the further steps.
