Cleaned prawns(marinated with turmeric) - 1 cup
Shallots - 10
Tomato - 3/4
Ginger - 1 small piece(fine chopped)
Garlic - 10 cloves(fine chopped)
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 2.5 tsp
Saunf powder - 2 tsp
Sambar powder - 1.5 tsp
Whole pepper -  1 tsp
Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves - a handful
Salt - as req.
Water - as req.

To temper:
Cardamom - 2
Cinnamon stick - 1 small piece
Cloves - 2
Red chilli - 1
Oil - as req.

METHOD:
----------------
1. In a kadai, pour oil, add the 'to temper' ingredients and allow to splutter.

2. Next, add the chopped shallots, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, all one by one and saute well in between.

3. Now add the chopped tomato and cook till it is mashed, then the remaining spice powders, little water and cook till the raw smell goes.

4. Add the prawns and salt at this stage and cook for 2-3 mins.

5. Crush the pepper, add it and cook for a few more mins.

6. Pour the coconut milk, mix well, and cook for a min. Finally add the coriander leaves and switch off the stove.

Your yummy spicy prawn curry is ready!! Serve with hot rice or tiffins..

NOTE:
------------
1. Instead of chilli powder+coriander powder+saunf powder, you can add a tbsp of readymade curry masala powder.
2. You can add the crushed pepper after adding coconut milk, for an enhanced flavour.
3. This measurement is perfect. Anyways, you can adjust masala as per your taste.
