Nanjil Kothamalli Aanam

 


Hi all..This recipe is again a Sahar/sehri/athaalam special..It's NANJIL KOTHAMALLI AANAM..That is, simple plain coriander gravy or curry..This is one of our native specials as well..And when u want to make a quick curry with less effort, try this for sure..'Aanam' is a name we give for the term 'curry' in our native..Even ppl in some of the other districts in Tamil Nadu use the same..But many of u might not have heard the word I think..I say this bcoz, when I stayed outside of hometown, when I say Aanam, ppl used to stare at me 😂..Then I used to change the word as curry, n only then they understand..

Nanjil Kambu Oratti

 

Hi all..Today I m here with a popular tiffin in my native among the Muslims..It is NANJIL style ORATTI using KAMBU flour..Usually we use just rice flour for the recipe, but to make it even more healthy, I have added bajra/pearl millet/kambu flour..And we enjoyed it for our sahar/sehri/athaalam..You can even have it for iftar/dinner as well..

Oratti is one of my all time favourites right from my childhood..This is made on occasions as well as usual day routine at home..Most of u will be familiar with the recipe but u may call it using different names I guess, like, adai, roti..But, we call it as oratti..

Hi all..Iftar is an enjoyable moment for any muslim who is fasting..Sipping the first drop of water or drink after fasting for the whole day, the adorable feel is hardddd to describe in words..It is usually better to take light food which is convenient for the stomach after fasting..However, almost all of us used to fill our dining spreads with fried and baked food for iftar..Many of us forget the fact that, we can even make steamed starters/snacks which r tasty as well..I feel this recipe can motivate u to try more steamed recipes for the upcoming iftar feasts..

Hi all..We are already nearing halfway in  Ramadan 2022 n hope u all r enjoying the blessings of Ramadan..Today I m here with a simple dip recipe, which is EGGLESS PISTA MAYONNAISE..Mayonnaise is a favorite for almost everyone..It is very easy to prepare as well..Had some leftover pistachios in hand, n while thinking of what to proceed, came to a conclusion to make a mayonnaise, since it will be a nice companion with any starter, snacks, rolls etc, particularly in iftar time..Now., let's move on to the recipe..

Hi all..I m back with yet another healthy recipe, but a drink at this time especially a milk based drink recipe..It's URAD DAL MILK / ULUNTHAM PAAL / ULUTHAM PAAL..Uluntham Paal recipe is very healthy for all ages, particularly growing kids and teenage girls..Urad Dal is a rich source of iron, and if you are bored of tiffins, have this drink as breakfast and u will feel a fulfilled tummy n it takes atleast a few hrs for the next hunger..The best part is, u won't identify that urad dal is added to the milk n honestly it is very yummy..
