Prawn Coconut Stir Fry


Prawns are a favorite for almost anyone. This is a yummy rcp with prawns that can be made under 10 mins. Who doesnt lyk to make yummy dishes in no time? Since coconut is used in this rcp, you can feel a crunchy taste as well. Serve it with hot rice n just rasam or a simple curry, and you will definitely like it..

RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 20 mins
Cooking Time: <10 mins 
Serves: 1 - 2 persons

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]     
-------------------------------------------
Cleaned Prawns - 1/2 cup
Coconut - 1.5 tbsp
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1/2
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Pepper powder - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - a few
Salt, oil - as req.

To temper:
Mustard - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Dry red chilli - 1


METHOD:

1.In a kadai, pour oil, temper with the 'To temper' ingredients.



2.Add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, tomato, salt, each of them one by one and saute well in between.



3.Add coconut, saute well for a few mins. Now add chilli powder, and then prawns, and cook the prawns slightly.


 

4.Add garam masala, coriander leaves, and close the lid and cook for 7 mins in simmer to allow the masala to get absorbed by the prawns.


 

5.Add pepper powder and again cook for 2 mins. That's it!!



Your yummy prawns are ready to serve!!

 
NOTE:
-----------
1. This masala is very yummy n less spicy so that even kids can eat it. Still,
you can adjust masala according to your taste.
2. Make sure not to cook prawns more than the mentioned time. Else it will become rubbery and hard to chew.
