Homemade Bread Crumbs


Bread Crumbs..An important ingredient used for coating in fried snacks like cutlet, cheese balls etc..You can even make so many innovative recipes with the breadcrumbs as the main ingredient..Leftover breads or even their sides can be easily transformed into crumbs within minutes..I will share more recipes with bread crumbs soon..

RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 2 mins
Cooking Time: <10 mins

INGREDIENTS:

Wheat bread(any bread)slices/sides  - as req.


METHOD:
-------------------
1. First, dry roast the bread slices/sides in a nonstick pan in simmer until they become crisp. Make sure not to burn them. Remove them from stove, allow to cool.


2. Blend the roasted bread in a blender to a sand like powder. Remove from blender and transfer to the pan again.


3. Again dry roast the powdered bread in the pan for not more than a minute. That's it..You can even skip this step and straightaway go to the 4th step. But I usually do this way.


4. Store these crumbs in a ziplock bag or an airtight mini container in a refrigerator and use whenever necessary. You can store this for a maximum of 5-6 months. 

Your homemade bread crumbs are ready to use!


NOTE:
-----------
1. Store only in a refrigerator for longer use.
2.While frying for snacks, take ONLY the required amount of bread crumbs from the refrigerator. If you have some leftover bread crumbs after frying, do not mix with the one in the refrigerator.
