WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:
METHOD:
---------------
1. Boil jaggery with water until a syrup with light sticky consistency is formed. No need of string consistency. Don't switch off the stove. Keep cooking in simmer.
2. Meanwhile, dry roast the wheat flour in a kadai for 2 mins in simmeruntil the flavour comes. Switch off the stove and add 2 tsp of sesame oil to it.
3. Now, strain and pour the hot boiling syrup to the flour little by little and mix very well in between. When a soft dough like consistency is reached, add 1 tsp of oil to your hand and knead it well.
4. Make small balls or oblong shapes from the dough and coat in the coconut.
5. Steam the balls in high flame for 5-7 mins in an idli pot. Remove and serve after 2 mins. That's it!!
Your super healthy Sweet Wheat Kozhukattai is ready to be served!! Njjoy!!
NOTE:
----------
1. I used 1.5 cups of jaggery for other recipes too. If you are using only for this recipe, use 1 cup water, and 1 cup jaggery.
2. Jaggery can be replaced with palm sugar.
3. Dry ginger powder or cardamom powder too can be added to the dough, but it is optional.
