Pirandai Masala Tea


Hi frnz..Well, today's recipe is a simple masala tea but with a different ingredient..It is Pirandai Masala Tea..It is very good for our body not only in curing digestion problems but increases our immunity n nutrition as well..Pirandai plant is known for its variety of medicinal effects, especially it has lots of calcium, vitamins c and e, and much more nutrients..If u r suffering from bone or joint problems, calcium deficiency, Pirandai has a solution for it..Usually the long joint-like part of the plant is used for culinary purposes..But, today I have used its leaves n more spices as well to make this masala tea..Now, let's see how to do it..


RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 2 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins
Serves: 4 persons

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]
----------------------------------------------
Pirandai leaves - 6
Ginger - 1 medium sized piece
Cardamom - 2
Cinnamon stick - 1 big piece
Crushed pepper - 1/2 tsp
Honey - 3 tbsp or as req.
Water - 3 cups

WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:


METHOD:

1. Boil the water in a vessel, tear each of the Pirandai leaves into two and put in the vessel. Cook in simmer for 15 mins.

2. Crush the ginger and cardamom using mortar and pestle. Add them to the vessel.

3. Next, add the cinnamon stick and crushed pepper. Boil for 2 more mins. Switch off the stove.

4. After 2 mins, strain it to a vessel and add the honey. Serve warm. That's it!!

Your super healthy Pirandai Masala Tea is ready to be served!! Njjoy!!

NOTE:

1. You can also use the joint-like portion of the Pirandai plant instead of the leaf portion.

2. Spices can be adjusted to your choice or even skipped too.

3. Use freshly crushed pepper. Don't use already powdered ones.

4. Instead of honey, jaggery syrup/palm sugar syrup can be used. Or you can skip any sweetener too.

5. Pirandai powder is available in shops, or you can prepare homemade powder and use it for the tea.

6. Don't use milk for the recipe.
