Nanjil Kooni Karuvadu Maas


Hi frnz..Today I m with a very simple n soo tasty recipe from our hometown,,It's  Kooni Karuvadu Maas..U can make it with any Karuvadu, but today I have made with Kooni karuvadu(dry baby prawns)..All u need is just Rice and Rasam with this side dish recipe..Best lazy day recipe, n lunchbox recipe as well..With no further delay, now let's see how to make it..

RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 5 mins
Serves: 3 persons

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]
----------------------------------------------
Kooni Karuvadu (Dry baby prawns) - 1/2 cup
Grated Coconut - 1 handful
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Shallots - 6
Salt - as req.

METHOD:

1. Dry roast the Karuvadu in a pan for about 5 mins in simmer. When a nice aroma comes, and the sand has been separated almost from the Karuvadu, switch off the stove and allow it to cool.

2. Pulse the Karuvadu in a dry blender for a second. Add the remaining ingredients, and pulse for a few times without water. Adjust salt if necessary. That's it!!

Your super aromatic n tasty Nanjil Kooni Karuvadu Maas is ready to be served!! Njjoy!!

NOTE:
----------
1. Any Karuvadu can be used, but scrub them a little with knife to remove more sand, and crush it with the mortar pestle before dry roasting.

2. Dried Red chilli can be used instead of red chilli powder.
