Ragi Drink


Hi frnz..Today I m here with a healthy drink recipe..It's RAGI DRINK..U might have seen various Ragi Health Drink recipes in the internet..I have come up with the simplest version of Ragi Drink which u can make daily even on lazy days..This is the best alternative drink for tea/coffee..If u r allergic to dairy drinks, especially if u r suffering from mucus problems lyk sinusitis, go for it, n have it daily instead of the milk tea/coffee..Feed ur kids as well n they will love it for sure..Now let's see how to make it..

RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 2 mins
Serves: 2 cups

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=220 ml]
---------------------------------------------
Ragi Flour - 2 tsp
Water - 2 cups
Jaggery - 2 tbsp or as req.
Cardamom - 1

METHOD:
---------------
1. Mix Ragi flour and crushed cardamom with 3/4 cup of water in a steel bowl without lumps before cooking.
2. Now, place the bowl in stove and cook for high flame in 2 mins with continuous stirring.
3. When the mix thickens and starts bursting, switch off the stove.
4. Immediately add the mix to a juicer, add 1.25 cups of warm water, and grind in high speed for a minute.
5. Pour into 2 serving glasses, add a tbsp of jaggery in each glass, and mix very well. Serve immediately. That's it!!

Your super healthy n tasty Ragi Drink is ready to be served!! Njjoy!!


NOTE:
----------
1. You can add so many variations like adding nuts powder/fruits/cocoa powder/milk etc. to the recipe. But I have made it as a daily simple drink.

2. You can also use whole ragi. Soak it overnight, grind it in blender, extract its milk, and then follow the remaining steps of this recipe.

3. Jaggery can be replaced with palm sugar/brown sugar/dates syrup/honey.

4. We are grinding to give a perfect pouring drink like consistency. Else, it will become a porridge consistency. So, dont skip the step. You can also use hand blender instead of juicer or blender.
