Mustard Mutton Curry


Hi frnz..Well here I m with yet another different Mutton Curry recipe made in a flavourful way with slightly different ingredients..It's MUSTARD MUTTON CURRY..This goes well with all variety rice n tiffins..Especially it goes well with jus plain rice..The oil used n the freshly dry roasted n ground ingredients play the highlight role in the recipe..Now let's see how to make it frnz..

RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 40 mins
Serves: 4-5 persons

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]

Mutton - 1/2 kg approx.
Onion - 1
Green chilli - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomato - 1
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as req.
Water - 1.5 cups + 1/2 cup
Mustard oil - 4 tbsp
Curd - 1/3 cup
Coriander leaves - 1/4 handful
Mint leaves - 1/4 handful

To dry roast:
Cinnamon - 2 pieces
Nut meg - 1 piece
Kalpasi( Stone flower) - 1 piece
Saunf - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper - 2 tsp
Cardamom - 4
Cloves - 4
Mustard - 1 tsp

WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:


METHOD:

1. In a pressure cooker, add the mutton pieces, turmeric powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, 1.5 cups water and cook for 8-10 whistles. Remove and transfer to another vessel.

2. Now, in a pan, dry roast The 'To dry roast' ingredients for a couple of minutes until a nice aroma comes. Allow it to cool and grind it to a fine powder.

3. In the same pressure cooker, pour the mustard oil, and temper with the sliced onion. Saute until it is translucent.

4. Next, add the fine chopped  green chilli, saute a little, and add chopped tomato. Saute until it becomes mushy.

5. Now add the red chilli powder and coriander powder. Add the mutton stock with pieces and 1/2 cup water now and cook in high flame for 5 mins.

6. Add the ground powder now and again cook for 5 mins.

7. Now, add the curd and cook for a couple of minutes.

8. Finally add the coriander and mint leaves. Switch off the stove, close with a lid, and serve after 5 mins. That's it!!

Your spicy Mustard Mutton Curry is ready to be served!! Njjoy!!
