Dried Cranberry Brownie


Hi frnz..So here I m with a mind blowing recipe..It's DRIED CRANBERRY BROWNIE..This is my first brownie recipe for the blog, could u believe it?? I have posted cake recipes so far, but was yet to post a Brownie recipe..And here it is..After having it, my little one demanded that for her next birthday, she wants this brownie only n doesn't want cake at all..I was so happy after hearing it..Wat more do I want?!In fact, brownies are healthier when compared to cakes since they don't need any baking soda, baking powder, vanilla essence etc. This recipe is free of butter too..And the tangy taste of dried cranberries gives a nice punch to the brownies..A much healthier option for ur little one's snack box..Try this for sure frnz..


RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 30 mins
Serves: 10 pieces

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]
---------------------------------------------
Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Cocoa powder - little less than 1/2 cup
Brown sugar - 1 cup
Eggs - 2
Ghee - 1/2 cup or a little less
Dried cranberries - 1/4 cup or as req.

WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:



METHOD:

1. In a bowl, add the eggs and brown sugar. Beat very well with a whisk for 5 mins until it becomes creamy.

2. Add the wheat flour and cocoa powder. Mix well.

3. Add the ghee and mix again.

4. Finally add the dried cranberries, and give a good mix.

5. Pour the mix in a cake tin greased with ghee.

5. Now, in an aluminium idli pot with a stand preheated already for 10 mins in high flame, place the tin, close with a lid, and keep the flame in simmer. Bake for 30 mins in simmer. (Click here to know how to bake in a pressure cooker.)

6. Insert a toothpick and check if any brownie crumbs is present. If yes, the brownie is ready. Remember that the toothpick need not be clean just like we check for a cake recipe.

7. Remove the tin and allow it to cool. After an hour, remove the edges and transfer to a plate. Cut into pieces. Serve. That's it!!

NOTE:
----------
1. Ghee can be replaced with butter/coconut oil.

2. Brown sugar can be replaced with white sugar too.

3. Dried cranberries can be replaced with any dryfruits.
