Dilpasand Mutton..A delicious n aromatic mutton curry with the goodness of ground black sesame masala, curd n much more..I always lov to cook a variety of recipes with mutton when getting bored of the usual mutton curry..This is one such recipe which I found in a fb cooking group long back, n the recipe sounded simple but something new to me n so I noted down..Tried this on a Sunday with fresh mutton as usual, n really it was so tasty..Another must try dish with mutton from my collection of recipes..

Serves: 3 persons

INGREDIENTS:

Mutton - 1/2 kg
Onion - 1 1/2
Tomato - 1 1/4
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/4 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/4 tsp
Grated ginger - 2 tsp or as req.
Curd - 150 gms
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp heaped
Salt - as req.
Water - as req.
Oil - as req.
Almonds - for garnishing
To dry roast and grind:
Dessicated coconut - 3 tsp
Black sesame seeds - 2 tsp
Poppy seeds(khus khus) - 2 tsp

1. In a pressure cooker, add mutton, turmeric powder, onion, coriander powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, required water, and pressure cook for 7 whistles.
2. To dry roast n grind: In a pan, dry roast the black sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and grind into a fine powder along with dessicated coconut.
3. Now, in the pressure cooker, add the ground powder, tomato puree(ground in a blender without water), curd, everything one by one and little oil in between, and keep on stirring in high flame.
4. When a semigravy consistency is reached, add the garam masala and cook for a couple of mins. Finally, add the grated ginger too, and switch off the stove. While serving, add the chopped almonds. That's it!!
Your delicious Dilpasand Mutton is ready to be served with tiffins/variety rice/plain rice!! Njjoy!!

1. You can also add the ground sesame mix powder finally, that is just before adding garam masala, to get an even more strong flavour and aroma.
2. Adjust spiciness as per your taste.
