WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:

METHOD:
---------------
1. In a vessel, add the cleaned Urad Dal and Samba rice together. Soak in water for about 6-7 hours.

2. Grind them in a grinder with little water initially for 2 mins.

3. Meanwhile, clean and fine chop the ladies finger and add to the grinder. Add water as and when required.

4. When a smooth batter is ready, transfer to a large vessel. It took around 50 mins for me to get the batter ground well. Close with a lid and ferment for 8 hrs.

5. Take the necessary batter in a small vessel. Add salt and mix well.

6. In a pan, pour oil and temper with the 'For tempering' ingredients and pour into the batter. Mix well.

7. Pour the batter in an idli plate with wet cloth over, and steam cook in high flame for about 8-10 mins. Remove and transfer to a plate. Sprinkle water over the cloth and carefully remove the cloth after 2 mins. That's it!!

Your super healthy and tasty Ladies Finger Idlis are ready to be served!! Njjoy!!

NOTE:
----------
1. You can also grind the ladies finger separately and add to the batter before fermenting.

2. Any spices and nuts can be added while tempering.

3. White Urad Dal too can be used instead of black Dal. Samba rice can be replaced with any parboiled rice.
