Coconut Milk - Rice Gruel(Thengapaal Kanji)
Coconut Milk - Rice Gruel(Thengapaal kanji)..A very simple porridge made in very less time with coconut milk, rice, n very less spices..No dal, no meat, no veggies, and it is very less spicy..This rcp is very helpful if you are running out of time and want to make a last minute kanji for iftar, to feed kids who refuse to have the usual masala ramadan kanji, or for bachelors who do self cooking and dont want to spend much time in making kanji etc etc..

Wheat flour Parotta
Parotta! Is there anyone here who doesn't like parotta? I can hear ur big 'no' 🙂..Yeah nowadays everyone is aware about the dangers of the regular consumption of the usual parotta, that is the maida parotta, but still there r ppl who jus ignore such advices, and go on eating it, just bcoz they couldn't control their taste buds 🙂(even me too have it occasionally 😉)..So, as usual, the alternate for maida, the wheat flour, can be used to provide a healthy n tasty parotta for the parotta lovers..

Soya Chunks Falafel
Soya Chunks Falafel..Falafel, you might be very familiar with it. A popular lebanese starter/snack, which serves as a good accompaniment for hot soups and tea for the evenings. To make a slight twist, I tried this falafel with Soya Chunks, which I found yesterday on MasterChef Sanjeev Kapoor's website, and tried the same day itself. The taste was absolutely good with tomato ketchup, though traditionally it is served with dips.

Pandan Cocoa AgarAgar
Pandan Cocoa AgarAgar..Layered ChinaGrass pudding made with pandan leaves and cocoa..In SouthIndian cuisine, we use the aromatic pandan leaves(à®°à®®்பை இலை/Rambai leaves)just for tempering in biriyani, variety rice, and gravies..But there are many international cuisines which make use of it in different recipes, taking it as the main ingredient..There are many people who grow pandan at their home itself..How nice it is to know that we can make international recipes with the cheapest and easily available ingredient from our backyard!!

Whole Wheat-Beet Egg Momos
Momos..A popular no-fry starter/snack, belonging to the dumplings category of recipes..Wikipedia says, it belongs to Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Darjeeling, and Sikkim..Usually it is made with all-purpose flour(maida)..But, we can do it with whole wheat flour as well..Ofcourse it will be slightly thicker and chewy than maida momos, but it tastes very good n healthy too..
