Mango Sarbath

Mango Sarbath..A cooling n refreshing Sarbath drink for Iftar..If u r from Nagercoil, surely u would hav had Nannari Sarbath for iftar..Especially the 'Raja Sarbath' brand has been very popular since a few decades..You can find it in almost all shops which sells Sarbath..I m not sure when their company was established..Right from my childhood I hav been tasting it, but still today the taste remains the same, n that's their secret of success I guess..

At our home Sarbath is a must for iftar till date. Usually we make simple lemon Sarbath, or banana-tomato-lemon Sarbath, both of them tastes greatt..For a change, I thought to make a twist to it by adding mangoes, but most importantly without suppressing the taste of Sarbath..You need to take each n every ingredient in a correct proportion for it..If any one ingredient dominates, u won't get a feeling of the drink perfectly..So, keep an eye on it..Let's see how to do it..

RECIPE:
--------------------------------------------
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Serves: 4 persons(approx.)
--------------------------------------------
INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]
--------------------------------------------
Mango - 3/4 cup
Nannari Sarbath - 1/2 cup
Lemon - 1/2
Ginger - a medium piece
Sabja seeds - 1 tbsp(soaked for 5-10 mins)
Water - 2 cups

METHOD:
----------------
1. In a blender, add the mangoes, finely chopped ginger, and blend very well adding 1.5 cups water little by little in between.

2. Transfer the juice to a vessel. Add the Nannari Sarbath, squeezed lemon, and remaining 1/2 cup of water, and mix very well to get a pouring consistency.

3. While serving, add icecubes to a glass, or else refrigerate the juice for some time, then pour the Sarbath, and add the Sabja seeds. DONE!! You will feel the taste of mangoes at first, ginger the second, and nannari sarbath finally, thereby all 3 tastes in a single sip!!

Your cool n tasty Mango Sarbath is ready to be served!!Njjoy!!

NOTE:
-----------
1. If you are adjusting any ingredient as per your taste, make sure to adjust the remaining ingredients too accordingly WITHOUT changing the taste of the drink.
2. You can also strain the mango juice after blending it, if you want a thin Sarbath, but I recommend not to strain it.
