Nendran Banana Cookies In Frying Pan


Hi frnz..So, this week I m here with an easy peasy cookies recipe, which I made with a couple of over ripen Nendran banana n with minimal ingredients in hand, and that too in frying pan!! Usually I bake in pressure cooker long before, and recently in only aluminium Idli pot since I don't own an oven..But I never tried with a frying pan, n believe me it was tooo good n easy to make as well..And instead of making banana bread or fried snacks with over ripen banana, try this soft n chewy cookies n u will like it for sure..Now, let's see how to make it frnz..



RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 5 mins

Cooking Time: 15-20 mins per batch

Serves: 25 cookies approx.

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]

-------------------------------------------------

Wheat flour - 1 to 1.5 cups (I used 1.5 cups)

Over ripened Nendran Banana - 2 large

Brown Sugar - 1/2 cup  

Ghee -  1/4 cup + for greasing

Vinegar - 1 tsp

Pineapple essence - 1 tsp

Chocolate chips - 1/4 cup (optional)

 

WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:  


METHOD:

1. In a mixing bowl, mash the banana very well. Add the brown sugar, ghee, vinegar, pineapple essence, and mix very well.

2. Add the wheat flour and mix very well until a dough is formed.

3. Add the chocolate chips and mix well again.

4. Grease a frying pan with ghee. Prepare cookie shapes from the dough and arrange them in the pan.

5. Meanwhile, heat an iron dosa tawa in high flame for 3-4 mins or until it is well heated.

6. Place the pan on the iron tawa, close with a lid, and cook in simmer for 15-20 mins.

7. Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack. Once cooled very well, store in an airtight container for a week maximum. That's it!!

NOTE:

1. You can also add any nuts or seeds to the dough after or before shaping them.

2. Brown sugar can be replaced with palm sugar or jaggery.
