200th Post - Dalia Dahi Laddu


Hi frnz..So, here's my next Laddu recipe for Diwali..And I m so glad to share that it is my 200th post..Well, it took me 3 years to reach this milestone, since I don't post regularly on a daily basis or a weekly basis but only whenever I wanted and felt like to post, and food blogging is not my career but my passion..So I grew my blog child in a slow pace without any hurry burries, but only with selective recipes which I felt to show case here..

And I concentrate on promoting healthy recipes as much as I can, n I have experimented many recipes n published here which gives me a great satisfaction n I m really happy to say that they r my own exclusive recipes..What more do a food blogger want? Looking forward to reach more heights n keep on supporting me dearies..With this happy note, here's my 200th post - DALIA DAHI LADDU..Come on, let's make it..



RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 5 mins

Cooking Time: 10 mins

Serves: 7-8 Laddus

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]

-------------------------------------------------

Broken Wheat (Dalia) - 3/4 cup

Curd - 1/4 cup

Cashews - 10 chopped

Crushed Cardamom - 3

Brown Sugar - Little less than 3/4 cup

Ghee - 2 tsp + for greasing hands


WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE: 

 


METHOD:

1. Grind the dalia to a fine powder.

2. In a pan, add 2 tsp ghee and roast the cashews until golden brown. Transfer them to a plate.

3. Now, to the same pan, add the ground dalia, and roast for 3-5 mins until a nice aroma comes and the dalia is well cooked.

4. Mean while, grind the brown sugar to a fine powder.

5. Next, add the curd and roast again for 2 mins. 

6. Add the powdered brown sugar and roast for 10 seconds.

7. Add the crushed cardamoms and mix well. 

8. Finally, add the roasted cashews and roast for 5 seconds. Switch off the stove. Allow to rest for 2-3 mins.

9. Now, apply ghee in hands and form laddus.That's it!! 

Your super healthy Dalia Dahi Laddu is ready to be served!! Njjoyy!!



NOTES:

------------

1. Keep the flame in simmer through out the process.

2. Any nuts can be used instead of cashews.

3. No matter if the curd is watery. Hung curd is not mandatory.
