Hi frnz..Today I have come with extremely simple to make recipes which r so healthy too..It's HEALTHMIX UPMA in 2 varieties SWEET n SPICY..Usually with healthmix, we make healthmix porridges, tiffins lyk Dosa, or baked goodies..Why not try a maincourse recipe with it? Of course healthmix is a heavy food n usually we consume it in a few scoops of amount..But atleast occasionally making this kind of recipes for the entire family is not at all wrong..Definitely the tastes were awesome n my lo lykd both the versions..It makes ur busy mornings easier too..So try this for sure frnz..
RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 2 + 5 mins
Cooking Time: 7 + 15 mins
Serves: 2 + 4 persons

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]

Sweet Upma:
Homemade Healthmix - 3/4 cup
Water - 1.5 cups
Overripen Nendran banana - 1
Palm sugar - 2 tbsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Spicy Upma:
Homemade Healthmix - 2 cups
Coconut oil - 4 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 big sprig
Onion - 1 sliced
Bajji Chilli - 3 fine chopped (or any chilli as required)
Tomato - 1 fine chopped
Salt - as req.
Water - 4 cups
Ghee - 2 tbsp
WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:
METHOD:

SWEET UPMA:
1. In a vessel, mash the banana with a whisk or fork.
2. Switch on the stove and add water to the banana. Cook for 2 minutes.
3. Add healthmix and keep on stirring to avoid lumps. Cook for 3 minutes.
4. Add crushed palm sugar and again cook for a few minutes until it is melted well and the mixture is thickened.
5. Finally, add the ghee, cook for a minute and switch off the stove. Serve after 5 mins. That's it!!
SPICY UPMA:
1. In a vessel, pour oil, temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
2. Add the onion and saute until golden brown.
3. Add the chilli, tomato and saute very well until it becomes soft and mushy.
4. Add water, salt and allow to boil in high flame for a few mins.
5. Add the healthmix little by little and keep on stirring with a whisk to avoid lumps.
6. When the healthmix is cooked and gets well thickened, add the ghee and again cook for a minute. Switch off the stove. Serve after 5 mins. That's it!!
Your super delicious Sweet n Spicy Upma is ready to be served!! Njjoy!!
NOTE:

1. You can also add veggies of your choice for the Spicy Upma.
2. Palm sugar can be replaced with jaggery/brown sugar for the Sweet Upma. Dates too can be added along with the banana.
