Green Energy Drink


Green Energy Drink..A super healthy drink made with Palak(spinach), dates and more..This Drink is not only tasty, but very boosting too, especially for students..All kinds of spinach r very healthy, but it is a tedious task to make the kids eat it..With Palak, many of us usually do parathas, pooris, n side dishes for rice..But how about a drink with it?? Sounds quite interesting ryt? This is one of my experiments while trying to do some dishes with spinach for students..And believe me, the drink is very tasty..It's so colorful, but u can never find out that it is made out of spinach..Very simple to make too..Now, lets move on to the recipe..

RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 5 mins
Serves: 2 persons

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=250 ml]

Palak leaves - 1 handful
Grated Coconut - little less than a handful
Dates(soaked in water for atleast 30 mins) - 6 to 10
Flaxseed powder - 2 tsp
Water - as req.


METHOD:

1. Add little water to the palak leaves, and cook for 5 mins.


2. In a blender, add the coconut and some water. Grind well and strain to get the thick coconut milk, repeat this process for a couple of times to get the thin and very thin coconut milk. Now, from this, take 1/8 cups of thick coconut milk(1st milk) and 1/8 cups of thin coconut milk(2nd milk) to prepare the drink. Use the remaining milk for any other required recipes.


3. Now, in the big jar of blender, add the cooked palak leaves(along with the cooked water), soaked dates(along with the soaked water), and grind very well. Pour this to a vessel.


4. Next add both the thick and thin coconut milk, and flaxseed powder. Mix very well, and serve!! That's it!!


Your super healthy n delicious Green Energy Drink is ready to be served!! Njjoyy!!


NOTE:
----------
1. To prepare instantly, soak the dates in very hot water and keep it closed for 5 to 10 mins. This will mash the dates very quickly. Follow the remaining steps.

2. To prepare the flaxseed powder, just dry roast the flaxseeds in a pan till an aroma arises, and grind it to a fine powder in a blender. Store this in an airtight container in refrigerator, and use it for various recipes.

3. Adjust the ingredients as per your taste.
