Gobi Egg Fry


So I m here with yet another very very quick recipe which takes jus around 5 minutes to prepare!! Yes, it is a simple Cauliflower Egg Fry recipe, which is nothing but gobi florets dipped in an egg based batter, and then deep fried!! I m sure it's a bit different in taste than the usual masala based cauliflower fry, since the addition of egg gives an extra fluffiness n taste..

I m posting it in this Ramadan series, since this is an excellent recipe as a side for Nonbu Kanji, or as a snack as well..With no further delay, lets move on to the recipe..


RECIPE:

PREPARATION TIME: 5 mins
COOKING TIME: 5 mins
SERVES: 2-3 persons

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup = 250 ml]

Cauliflower florets (small size) - 1.5 cups
Desi Egg - 3
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - as req.
Water - as req.
Red chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Rice flour - 1 tsp
Coconut oil - for deep frying

WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:


METHOD:

1. Boil a cup or more of water, add salt, turmeric, cauliflower florets, and then close with a lid. Switch off the stove. Keep this aside for 5 mins. And then strain the water, keep the florets aside.

2. Meanwhile, in a bowl, add the eggs, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, rice flour, little salt, everything one by one, and beat well with a whisk or fork to remove the lumps.

3. Dip the florets in the egg batter, and deep fry in medium hot oil in medium flame. Strain and serve!! That's it!!

Your super delicious cauliflower egg fry is ready to be served!! Njjoyy!!


NOTE:
----------
1. You can add any masala of your taste, and adjust the the quantity too as required.

2. If you want more crispiness, you can add little more rice flour too.

3. You can also use other flours like besan or wheat flours, but it becomes like bajji. So I avoided it.

4. You can use any oil for frying.

5. Make sure not to fry too much. Medium golden color is good enough.
