Chocolate Maa Ladoo

Chocolate Maa Ladoo..A twist to the usual Maa Ladoo(பொரிகடலை உருண்டை) recipe with chocolate flavour and sugar free!! My last recipe was Cumin-RoastedGram Milk..When I made roastedgram powder for that, I thought to make one more recipe with the powder, since it is very healthy and good for growing kids..So the Maa Ladoo recipe was in my mind yesterday, but I thought of improvising it..My first idea was to make it sugar free, since a lot of powdered sugar is usually used in the recipe..Also, the cocoa powder gives a nice chocolate flavour, usually loved by the kids..So I implemented them, and the final result was too good, and the best part is you need just 5 mins to make this delicious recipe..Thats great na!!

RECIPE:
----------------------------------------------
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 5 mins
Serves: 8 no's
----------------------------------------------
INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]
----------------------------------------------
Roasted Gram Powder - A little more than 1 cup
Cocoa powder - 2 tsp heaped
Honey - 9 tsp
Warm milk(optional) - 3 tsp
Cardamom seeds(crushed) - from 2 cardamoms

METHOD:
-----------------
1. In a bowl, add the roasted gram powder, cocoa powder, and crushed cardamom seeds. Mix well with a spoon.

2. Now add the honey little by little, and mix well with your hands till you find a sticky consistency.

3. Finally, add the warm milk little by little, and again mix well to form a smooth dough.

4. Form round shaped ladoos from the dough. Store them in an airtight container. That's it!!

Your delicious Chocolate Maa Ladoo is ready to be served!!Njjoy!!

NOTE:
--------------------
1. To make the roasted gram powder, simply blend the roasted gram in a blender. No need to dry roast it.

2. Adjust the cocoa powder according to its bitterness. The one I used is mildly bitter, so I used 2 tsps.

3. Adjust the honey according to the cocoa powder's bitterness. In that case, if you need more honey than mentioned, then skip milk or add a little more roasted gram powder as required, so that the dough is not too much sticky.

4. You can also skip milk. But, adding milk helps the Ladoo to become soft. So, I recommend it.

5. If you are using milk, then consume the ladoos within a couple of days. If not, you can store for a week or more.
