Cabbage Masala

Poori Masala or Masala for Poori is loved by almost anyone n Potato is the main ingredient in it..Here, I have made this yummy masala without aloo..Cabbage suited very well for the recipe n it's an easy peasy recipe which u can make in minimum effort..Tricky idea to make ur little ones eat cabbage..Give it a try n let me know ur feedback frnz..

RECIPE:

Preparation Time:  10 mins

Cooking Time:  30 mins

Serves:  5-6 persons approx.

INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=240 ml]

Coconut oil - 2 tbsp

Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Curry leaves - 1 sprig

Cabbage - 1 small, sliced

Green chilli - 3 or as req., fine chopped  

Besan flour - 3 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Water - 2 cups approx.

Salt - as req.

WATCH HOW TO MAKE THE RECIPE:  


METHOD:

1.In a vessel, pour oil, temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves.

2. Add the sliced cabbage, salt and mix very well. Close with a lid, and keep on stirring often for a few mins until the cabbage is well sauteed.

3. Add 1 cup of water, green chilli and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the cabbage becomes soft.

4. Meanwhile, in a bowl, add the besan flour, turmeric powder, 1/2 cup of water, and mix very well without lumps.

5. Add the besan mixture and 1/2 cup of water to the vessel. Adjust salt if necessary.

6. Close with a lid, and simmer for 5 mins. Switch off the stove. That's it!!

Your super healthy Cabbage Masala is ready to be served!! Njjoyy!!


NOTE:

1. You can add tempering ingredients of your choice like red chilli, urad dal etc.
