METHOD:
----------------
- Boil water in a pan with turmeric powder and salt. Add the cleaned fish pieces, mix well, and close the pan with a lid.
- When the fish pieces are cooked, remove them and transfer to a plate. Remove the excess water too and use it for any other recipes like soups, gravies etc.
- Now in the same pan, pour coconut oil, temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Add onion and saute until golden brown. In the meantime, remove the skin and bones of the fish and slightly mash the fish to get a Puttu like consistency.
- Now to the pan, add the chopped green chilli, saunf powder, little more salt, and mix well.
- Next, add the fish and saute well. Add the coconut and saute again until the raw smell goes off and merged well to get the perfect consistency. That's it!!
Your delicious n easy Fish Puttu is ready to be served with rice!! Njjoy!!
NOTE:
------------
- You can also steam the fish instead of boiling.
- I have used Vilai fish(Emperor fish). You can use any variety of fleshy fish. Especially tuna goes well.
- You can try many variations like adding different masala etc.
