Hi frnz..So today I m back with a recipe which will be definitely useful for u when u have a lot of dryfruits in ur hand..It's not easy to make ur kids or even adults at home to eat the dryfruits..And this special squash recipe is gonna make them ask u more n more for it! Especially u can pack this in ur kid's juice bottle too as I do..Also for guests it will be a real cool surprise!!So, don't make a delay to prepare it..The best part is, u can store them for several weeks!! And it is absolutely healthy too!!
-----------------------------------------------------
Preparation Time: 5 mins + soaking time
Cooking Time: 20 mins
Serves: 2 medium size containers
-----------------------------------------------------
INGREDIENTS: [1 cup=250 ml]
-----------------------------------------------------
Black Kismis (Dried black grapes) - 1 cup
Dried apricots - 200 gms
Dried figs - 200 gms
Honey - 1.5 cups
Vinegar - 2 bottle caps
METHOD:
----------------
1. Soak the black kismis, dried apricots, and dried figs overnight with water till immersed.
2. Grind them into a fine paste in batches adding the soaked water if necessary. Don't add any more water.
3. Add the paste into a vessel, and cook in low to medium flame for about 15-20 minutes stirring often in between. Close with a lid while cooking, since the paste may burst outside the vessel.
4. Switch off the stove, add honey and vinegar. Stir well and allow to cool.
5. After it comes to room temperature, store in airtight containers in fridge. It stays good for minimum 10 days to maximum 1-2 months or even more. So, our dryfruits squash is ready!!
6. To make the juice, take a tall glass, put the squash in 1/4 portion, add water in 3/4 portion, and stir well..That's it!!
Your super cool dryfruits squash is ready to be served!! Njjoy!!

NOTE:
NOTE:
-----------
1. You can use the dryfruits in any proportion. Adjust honey accordingly.
2. You can also use sugar syrup/jaggery syrup instead of honey.
3. You can also strain the paste after step3 and then proceed to step4. But I don't prefer it since more nutrients will be wasted.
Thank you very much for posting and sharing this great Blog.
